What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is one of the many chemical compounds derived from the cannabis plant. The naturally occurring substance is frequently added to products including oils, edibles, topicals, and more. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is not psychoactive, meaning that users don’t experience the “high” typically associated with cannabis use.

The most common uses for CBD include easing the symptoms associated with:

  • Chronic pain

  • Insomnia

…and many others. If you suffer from one or more of these issues, CBD might be the right choice for you.

What is THC?

THC, also known as tetrahydrocannabinol, is also a one of the more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis. As the cannabinoid known for the “high” sensation that comes from smoking or consuming marijuana, THC is rapidly becoming available to consumers in the form of oils, tinctures, edibles, capsules and more.

What are the differences between Sativa vs. Indica?

Indica plants typically grow faster than Sativa plants and have a higher CBD and lower THC levels. The plant itself is a short, bushy plant, while the Sativa plant is tall and thin. Even the color of the plants is different, with the Indica plant leaves being a darker shade of green than the Sativa plant.

Medical Cannabis Sativa strains are known for:

  • Alleviating anxiety
  • Reducing depression
  • Increasing serotonin

Sativa strains are typically recommended for daytime use.

What are the effects of Indicas?
